I live in Kumla, in southern Sweden, 20 km south of Örebro, at 59° North, 15° East.
My main hobbies are astronomy and photography, and I´m an active member of Kumla Astronomi Klubb, a local amateur astronomy club.

No, the image was taken during a power black out in the light of the full moon. Exposure time 30 sec. f/4.0 and ISO 400. Another moonshine image.

A couple of minuts after the end of the occultation on May 22, 2007 at 22.18 CEST, Photo through the eyepiece of a 70 mm Meade ETX refractor. |
The images were taken every 15 minutes between 10.15 and 11.30 local time (UTC+1 hour). The partly eclipsed sun seen through a handheld solar filter. Images taken 10.31 10.58 11.25 11.46 and 12.05 CEST, with Pentax *ist DS through Fujinon 10x70 The beginning and the end were clouded out, and three of the images above were taken through thin clouds and haze. The same method as to the left, but this time with the reflections in the filter showing the Maspalomas desert and hotels behind my back.
Thus the background is image reversed, but the sun is correctly imaged.
